Purpose

 Set policy to ensure that community college remains accessible and life-changing to those who want to improve their lives through education.

 Work to ensure that each student who enters Gavilan College should have access to quality programs and guidance to help them meet their learning, career, or education pathway efficiently. 

Set policy that makes college accessible and removes barriers that hinder students from completing their education or career objectives.

 I am committed to continue working with my fellow Gavilan College trustees and the College President to develop the steps to assess and enhance resources at Gavilan College so that all students can succeed.

I believe in being visible and listening to families, students, faculty, and the business community to build on and enhance programs that serve the needs of students and the community. 

I look forward to continuing my work as part of our strong governance team that uses data to inform decisions that will affect our school community

Continue to advocate and work to improve resource equity and work strategically to ensure Gavilan gets its fair share to support and  prepare our students for the local labor market. 

I believe in fiscal accountability and the importance of being a steward of public funds. I will make sure that taxpayer money directly supports our classrooms and that programs yield positive outcomes for students. 

Utilize resources effectively while ensuring that faculty, staff, and students are earn competitive wages and benefits. 

 Work to expand the student programs that directly support the community and partner with large scale companies and organizations so students can find opportunities everywhere, and highlight Gavilan College as a catalyst for student success. 

Added opportunities for students to strengthen enrollment, persistence and graduation rates and build Gavilan's role as a crucial response to community and county needs. 

Make our approved student housing plan a reality with private and state funding.
