Why I am running for the Gavilan Board
Dear neighbor,
As a father, school psychologist, and college educator, I have devoted my life to supporting all students achieve their dreams. I believe deeply in the value of community colleges and am committed to championing our Gavilan community so we may reach the highest levels of excellence.
My deep commitment to Gavilan is personal, as my family and I have all benefited from access to community colleges. They made it possible for my father to learn a trade to support our family, my brother to transfer to a four-year university, and my sister to earn an AA degree. Directly seeing the transformational impact our community colleges have and my desire to ensure that our community has opportunities to make their dreams a reality, has led me to ask for your support to serve you on the Gavilan College Board of Trustees.
As your trustee, I will actively listen to our community to make student-centered decisions, strengthen fiscal stability, and ensure accountability. I will advance policy that increases student enrollment and brings innovative programs and opportunities to Gavilan College. I would be honored to have your support.
